Every other year, the TxHSA honors those who have provided recognition and support to songwriters by presenting them with its Darrell K Royal Texas Music Legend Award. Coach Royal, the original recipient, spent years supporting and honoring songwriters, and the TxHSA proudly carries the spirit of his efforts forward, in his name.
Join us for the 2017 Darrell K Royal Homecoming Show. This fundraising event will pay tribute to the life of Guy Clark and honor Tamara Saviano with its DKR Texas Music Legend Award on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Paramount Theatre in downtown Austin, Texas.
The evening will include special performances by a distinguished list of Texas songwriters including Rodney Crowell, Joe Ely, Bruce Robison, Lee Roy Parnell, Jack Ingram, Verlon Thompson, Terry Allen, Brennen Leigh, Shawn Camp, The Trishas, Noel McKay and other special friends of Guy Clark.
